COLT (County of Lebanon Transit) and holberg design worked together to develop a new brand and a marketing strategy for the changing transportation organization. COLT was changed to LT as the former name did not capture what the transit agency represented in the new millennium. We also wanted to create a visual identity that working professionals would be attracted to and that the community would be happy to see on the streets of Lebanon County.
The new logo and identity had to “look” like a transportation system, so we researched other systems and used their marks as inspiration. We also wanted the color to be bright for safety issues and the colored lines to represent movement. Also, we selected a font that was extremely readable for a distance.
Along with a new name, logo and visual identity, we developed new maps and schedules. holberg also developed a complete website, bus graphics and an advertising campaign to help launch its new commuter routes.
